Jahriffe encourages strength, spiritual awareness with inspiring new single ‘Shine Bright’

KINGSTON, Jamaica — United States-based reggae singer Jahriffe is spreading positivity and spiritual encouragement with his uplifting new single “Shine Bright,” a roots reggae anthem centered on resilience, confidence, and self-belief.

Inspired by personal struggles and the need for motivation during difficult moments, the track delivers a message of perseverance while encouraging listeners to remain grounded and focused on their purpose despite life’s challenges.

“Shine Bright was inspired by my need for motivation, with the intention of motivating others through music,” Jahriffe explained. “My desire is for listeners to develop an unstoppable mindset.”

Driven by warm live instrumentation and conscious lyricism, the song reflects real-life experiences, inner strength, and the determination required to pursue one’s dreams with confidence and spiritual clarity.

Produced by David Goldfin, also known as Jah D, the single originated from a simple guitar idea created by Jahriffe before evolving into the empowering anthem it is today. Vocals for the track were recorded in the artiste’s home studio, adding to the song’s personal and authentic energy.

For Jahriffe, reggae music remains much more than entertainment — it is a spiritual and cultural force designed to uplift and awaken people through conscious messaging.

“The purpose of writing, producing, and performing reggae music, particularly roots reggae music, is to transmit positive awareness of one’s greatness through the music,” he said. “We use reggae to sustain our natural connection to the divine essence of life.”

Jahriffe credits reggae legends including Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Bunny Wailer, Dennis Brown, and Burning Spear among the icons who helped shape his sound and musical philosophy. He also highlighted the spiritual influence of Vaughn Benjamin.

Backed by his band, JAH-N-I Roots Movement, Jahriffe said live instrumentation remains essential to preserving the authenticity and heartbeat of reggae music.

“This is the true foundation of all riddims, and if we do not continue this tradition of live instrumentation, it would be like cutting out the veins that carry blood through the body,” he stated.

Since its release, “Shine Bright” has already resonated strongly with listeners, many of whom have embraced the song as a daily source of motivation and encouragement.

Currently, Jahriffe and his team are preparing a new album that will continue the musical and spiritual journey introduced on his previous project, Reflection. While the album title is still being finalised, the artiste promises more conscious reggae music rooted in authenticity, positivity, and spiritual guidance.

“My goal is to create a legacy of good music matched with positive actions in daily life, so that what I write and sing about can be manifested and remembered by others,” he said.
