UPDATE: 5-m-o baby in fatal St Elizabeth crash identified
ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica — Police have identified the five-month-old baby who succumbed to injuries sustained in a three-vehicle crash on the Pepper main road in St Elizabeth on Saturday morning as Kemarala Forbes.
Police said the baby suffered a laceration-type injury to the face.
A police indicate that about 10:30 am the child was among four people travelling in a Toyota Voxy when the vehicle turned right into the path of a Nissan pickup, causing a collision. The Nissan pickup then collided with a Ford pickup.
Four injured people were rushed to the Mandeville Regional Hospital where the child was pronounced dead on arrival. His mother was admitted in critical condition.
