Reggae Girlz held 0-0 by Panama
Jamaica’s Reggae Girlz were held to a 0-0 draw by Panama in the second of two international friendlies at Estadio Rommel Fernandez in Panama City on Tuesday.
Jamaica had won the first game 1-0 on Friday at the same venue.
Veteran Deneisha Blackwood missed a fist half penalty but Jamaica extended their unbeaten run against the Panamanians to four games.
Natasha Thomas, who was one of five changes to the starting team from Friday’s first game, was tripped as she dribbled across the Panama 18-yard box in the 26th minute, but Blackwood hit the cross bar as the kick went high.
Thomas just missed a header in the 38th minute as the Panama goalkeeper Yenith Bailey just got her hands to the ball.
Konya Plummer had a chance to win the game late in time added on but her point blank shot was well saved by Bailey who blocked it for a corner.
