FLORIDA, United States – The inaugural staging of the From Deed to Key Investment and Housing Conference in South Florida recently, has been deemed a resounding success by organisers.

According to the  organisers, the event attracted a strong turnout and engaged audience participation throughout the day.

Held under the theme “Invest in Your Piece of Di Rock” the conference brought together industry experts, investors, professionals, and members of the Jamaican diaspora for a day of practical discussions on land ownership, housing, investment opportunities, and wealth creation in Jamaica.

Event founder and organiser Maxine Miller expressed her satisfaction with the response, noting that the level of attendance and engagement exceeded expectations.

“We put the right people in the room,” Miller said.

“We assembled a delegation of successful entrepreneurs and professionals who are leaders in their respective fields and who align with the vision of the From Deed to Key Investment and Housing Conference.”

She added “We had an attorney, a land surveyor, an engineer, an energy consultant, financiers, and other experts who took the stage with passion and a renewed call to action that Jamaica has something for everyone. Especially as we emerge from Hurricane Melissa, we have an opportunity to reset, rebuild, and reinvest.”

Among the speakers were Consul General of Jamaica Oliver Mair and Commissioner and Vice Mayor of Miramar Carson Edwards.

Organisers say the conference successfully achieved its primary objectives by providing practical, informative, and solution-driven discussions focused on helping Jamaicans at home and abroad navigate the journey from land ownership to homeownership.

It provided a platform for dialogue and guidance on issues that directly impact Jamaicans in the diaspora, including regularising family-owned lands, resolving inherited property matters, activating idle assets, and navigating the process of investing, building, and securing property in Jamaica.

The momentum generated by the South Florida staging has already sparked interest from other major diaspora markets, with numerous requests coming from communities in Atlanta and New York to host future editions of the conference.

“We have received an encouraging number of inquiries from Jamaicans in Atlanta and New York who want to see the conference brought to their cities,” said Miller.

“The response has reaffirmed that there is a real appetite within the diaspora for credible information, practical solutions, and meaningful conversations about investing in Jamaica.”

Organisers are expected to announce the location of the next staging by mid-July.
