Reggae Boyz Captain Andre Blake named face of the Pepsi ‘Football Nation’

Pepsi-Cola Jamaica has officially launched its Football Nation campaign in Jamaica, naming national team captain Andre Blake as the local face of the global platform. Blake joins international football icons Vinícius Júnior, Florian Wirtz, and Sir David Beckham to spearhead a nationwide celebration of the sport.

The announcement puts Jamaican fans at the center of the action during this peak football season. By building the campaign around the authentic traditions and match-day rituals of supporters, Football Nation brings the culture straight into everyday life. As the world’s largest tournaments take center stage, Pepsi ensures local fans feel recognized and connected to the global game.

With the fans at center stage, they get to define the rules, starting with Rule #1: “It’s called Football, Not Soccer.”
Embodying that authentic local passion, Andre Blake steps in to lead a campaign that mirrors the true spirit of the island’s football culture, celebrating everything from lively community watch parties to intense match-day debates.

“I’m honoured to join Pepsi Football Nation and become part of a global football family that includes some of the biggest names in the game,” said Blake. “Football has given me so much throughout my life and career, and I’m excited to connect with fans across Jamaica through this campaign while celebrating the sport that unites us all.”

Widely regarded as one of the Caribbean’s most accomplished and decorated athletes, Blake has captained the senior national team with distinction for over a decade. His international reputation for leadership, elite shot-stopping, and professionalism makes him the perfect representative to bridge global football excellence with Jamaica’s rich, homegrown fandom.

To ensure fans on the ground feel the full impact of the platform, Pepsi-Cola Jamaica has integrated exclusive fan-first initiatives into the rollout. In the spirit of Football Nation Rule #84: You Must Wear Your Winning Jersey to Work, Pepsi is launching a special giveaway of 30 limited-edition Pepsi Football Nation jerseys signed by Blake himself. This gives local supporters a tangible piece of the global campaign to wear proudly during the tournament cycle.

“Pepsi Football Nation is a tribute to the fans who live and breathe the sport,” said Ashli-Raye Reccas, Pepsi Brand Coordinator. “Having a leader of Andre’s caliber in this initiative allows us to celebrate the authentic rituals of Jamaican supporters. This football season, we are focusing on bringing that grand, international tournament atmosphere directly to local communities, bars, and viewing spaces across the nation.”

The campaign positions Pepsi as the ultimate match-day companion as Jamaicans gather to witness, debate, and celebrate the biggest football moments on the global stage.
