Vybrid to release Outlet visualiser

Recording artiste Vybrid is preparing to unveil the official visualiser for his single Outlet on June 17, delivering a powerful message centred on mental health, self-love, and resilience.

Produced by LoudSpeakr and mixed and mastered by CheekyDon Music, Outlet tackles an important topic that is often overlooked, encouraging listeners to find healthy ways to navigate life’s challenges while reminding them that they are not alone.

For Vybrid, whose real name is Ashley Howard Johnson, the song represents more than just another release.

“My favourite element about the song and visualiser is the authenticity and emotion behind it. I’m able to connect and shine light on an important topic that’s usually overlooked,” the entertainer said.

The accompanying visualiser, edited by CDflymz, aims to further amplify the song’s message through compelling imagery and storytelling.

The production also features a special cameo appearance by Ccuz, with cameo footage shot and edited by Kontrol The Town.

LoudSpeakr, who produced the track, believes both the song and visualiser serve a purpose beyond entertainment.

“I love that both the song and visualiser promote mental health awareness and well-being. Outlet encourages people to find positive ways to cope with life’s challenges, while the visualiser brings that message to life in a meaningful and engaging way,” he added.

The collaboration marks another successful partnership between Vybrid and LoudSpeakr, following the release of Grip on April 17, which was featured on the 1876 Riddim.

“It’s been a great experience. Vybrid is talented, creative, and passionate about making meaningful music, which makes working with him a pleasure,” the producer added.

Vybrid echoed those sentiments, highlighting the chemistry that has developed between the two creatives.

“The experience I have working with LoudSpeakr has been amazing. I’m able to learn a lot about the music business. There is no ego with us, just two individuals that are passionate about music, which makes working together very easy and authentic,” he said.

Known for his versatility, Vybrid has built a reputation as an artiste who refuses to be confined to one genre. Whether delivering a hard-hitting dancehall anthem, a soothing reggae track, or a sultry R&B record, his musical direction is guided by the mood and message he wants to convey.

Born in the Richmond Park community of St Andrew, Jamaica, to Guyanese parents who attended The University of the West Indies, Vybrid later migrated to Atlanta, Georgia, where he continued developing his craft. Throughout his career he has opened for notable acts including Spragga Benz, Ky-Mani Marley, Junior Reid, Dexta Daps, and Mr Vegas, while also collaborating with producers such as Patexx, SlayBad, Delly Ranx, and others.

With Outlet, Vybrid hopes listeners walk away with a renewed sense of self-worth and community.

“I hope that listeners can take away that no one’s alone on this journey called life, but it starts with self-love. Realising that confidence in self is key and also picking others up when they might show signs of self-doubt,” he said.

LoudSpeakr shares a similar vision for the release.

“I hope viewers connect with the message and feel inspired to find positive outlets in their own lives. If the video encourages even one person to keep moving forward and make healthier choices, then we’ve achieved our goal,” he said.

The release of Outlet also serves as a preview of a larger body of work currently in development. Vybrid and LoudSpeakr are putting the finishing touches on an EP that promises to showcase the artiste’s versatility and artistic growth.

“The EP we have coming is an EP that will stand out by itself with great quality and substance for listeners to connect with, blending very unique sounds and styles to create a masterpiece,” Vybrid shared.

According to LoudSpeakr, the project is approximately 90 per cent complete and is expected to be released before the end of the year.

The EP will feature a blend of reggae and dancehall influences, with all tracks mixed and mastered by CheekyDon Music. He also disclosed that Nah Lie is expected to serve as the lead single from the project.
