Lucky Play, Island Bet move to excite gaming experience in Jamaica
GAMING companies Lucky Play and Island Bet have unveiled a new flagship lifestyle store in Portmore, St Catherine, marking what they say is a major step in the evolution of lottery and sports betting entertainment in Jamaica.
Located in the heart of Portmore, at the Port Henderson Plaza, the new space brings together Lucky Play’s full suite of lottery products and offers a dynamic viewing experience for sports enthusiasts.
Speaking at the official opening on Saturday, Stephen Miller, director of sales and marketing for Lucky Play, described the launch as a defining moment for the brand and the community.
“Today is a proud moment for the entire Lucky Play and Island Bet team and an exciting one for Portmore. We are introducing a new experience for lottery and sports lovers while preparing for the launch of enhanced sports betting experience through Island Bet in the near future,” said Miller.
He pointed out that the launch came against a backdrop of growing momentum for the brand’s core lottery portfolio.

“We’re seeing increasing interest in our lottery products, particularly Big Pot, Scorcha and Super 5, as more Jamaicans engage with our games. This flagship store allows us to build on that growth and deliver an experience that matches the energy our customers are looking for,” added Miller.
He also highlighted plans to roll out additional experienced-based stores in other locations across the island as part of Lucky Play’s broader ambition to modernise and expand the gaming experience in Jamaica through innovation,
“Our plans are in response to a wider shift in how gaming is experienced, and our intention is to move beyond traditional transactions to more immersive environments in response to the changing customer expectations,” said Miller.
Scores of patrons, members of the Portmore business community and sports influencers turned out for Saturday’s launch.
