JPS refund delay resolved
Dear Claudienne,
I am a frustrated Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS) customer who has been awaiting a refund for an account associated with premises in Portland.
The refund process began on February 25, 2026, under reference number CR 1244882. The account number is xxx394-12xxx62.
However, whenever I contacted JPS by telephone or text message, I was repeatedly told that the matter would be expedited.
I submitted a second refund application through the MyJPS app on April 13, 2026, under reference number CR 1283208. Since then, JPS has continued to tell me that the matter would be investigated.
My last communication with the company was on June 10, 2026, at approximately 12:15 pm.
I find the lengthy delay unacceptable, particularly since I submitted all the documents required to process the refund. I would appreciate your assistance in having the matter resolved.
