Rvssian scores 5th entry on Latin Airplay, 6th on Latin Rhythm Airplay
Jamaican producer Rvssian scores his fifth entry on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart and sixth on Latin Rhythm Airplay, with the song Pongo featuring Puerto Rican star Rauw Alejandro and Afrobeats star Wizkid.
Pongo, which fuses reggaeton and Afrobeats, moves up from #50 to #45 on the Latin Airplay chart, while zipping from #12 to #10 on Latin Rhythm Airplay.
Rvssian’s previous entries on Latin Airplay were Nostalgico, featuring Rauw Alejandro and Chris Brown, which stalled at #9 in 2021, Santa with Rauw Alejandro and Ayra Starr (#10 in 2024), Ponie with J Balvin and Farruko (#23 in 2018), and No Me Ame with Anuel AA and Juice WRLD (#32 in 2020).
Over on Latin Rhythm Airplay, Rvssian’s biggest entries are Santa and Nostalgico, both of which peaked at #6.
Incidentally, Pongo re-enters Hot Latin Rhythm Songs chart at #20, where it peaked at #8 a few weeks ago.
“I’m a curator who enjoys bringing artistes together and unifying different genres,” Rvssian said in a press release.
While the producer has worked with Alejandro before, this is his first song with the Nigerian star.
Rvssian has been sharing his global sound for over a decade, working with major stars across genres like Vybz Kartel, Bad Bunny, J Balvin, Post Malone, Cardi B, and more. Since then, the hit-making producer has amassed billions of streams across streaming platforms with his genre-bending music. He also founded music labels Rich Immigrants and Head Concussion Records.
Elsewhere on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart, Echo (FIFA World Cup 2026) by Daddy Yankee, featuring Shenseea, steps up from #25 to #18.
Moving to the Billboard Rhythmic Airplay chart, Echo creeps from #28 to #26, while Looking Lovely by Shaggy and Robin Thicke, appears to be losing steam, backtracking from #29 to #35 in its 9th week on the chart.
Spin by American R&B singer Kevin Ross, which was produced by Jamaican Kheilstone, inches up from #36 to 35 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip Hop Airplay chart. Meanwhile, it fares better on Adult R&B Airplay chart, cruising from #10 to #8.
Jamaican (Bam Bam), a remixed house/Afrobeats/techo revamp of Sister Nancy’s iconic hit Bam Bam produced by HUGEL and SOLTO, continues to make moves on the charts.
On Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart the song remains at #13, while on Global Dance Radio it steps up from #12 to #10. However, on Global 200, the song dips from #106 to #108. It has better luck on Global 200 Excluding US chart, sliding down from #51 to #59.
Jamaican (Bam Bam) was recently certified gold in France, Greece, and in Portugal.
On the streaming and sales-driven Billboard Reggae Albums chart, Vybz Kartel’s God & Time exits the chart after entering at #6 last week.
Bob Marley & the Wailers continues to dominate at #1 for a 336th non-consecutive week with Legend, while Best of Shaggy: The Boombastic Collection stays put at #2.
Sean Paul’s Dutty Classics Collection re-enters at #3, World On Fire and Wisdom by Stick Figure are #4 and #5, while Sean Paul’s Dutty Rock is at #6.
Set in Stone by Stick Figure rises from #9 to #7, Exodus by Bob Marley and the Wailers steps up to #8, while
Double Up by Iration, which peaked at #2, re-enters at #9.
Labour of Love by UB40, which rose to a #6 high a few years ago, revisits the chart at #10.
Moving now to the Rebel Vibez Top Ten Canadian Reggae chart, Forevermore by Jurney Starr remains at #1, while Shine by Elaine Shepherd and Ten Foot Wall by Tasha T are #2 and #3.
Rise Up by Belinda Brady inches up to #4, and Set Me Free by Memberz Syndicate is #5. Love of a Father by Mel C is new at #10.
Cucumba by Tugstar is the new #1 song on the Reggae North Canadian Top 20 Reggae and Dancehall chart.
Student of a Broken Heart by Exco Levi moves into the #2 spot, while last week’s chart-topper Chant by Paris Ivy is down to #3.
Legato’s Reggae Music Nice remains at #4, so too Slow Down by Jah Mila at #5. Captain Love’s Concrete Jungle steps in at #20.
Buju Banton’s Butterflies rules the roost at the top of the New York Reggae chart for a third week running, while
Don’t Keep Me Waiting by Lady G rises from #21 to #19. I Will Be Fine by Dona V arrives at #28 and World Peace by Brigadeer Jerry opens at #30.
Butterflies by Buju Banton spends a second week at #1 on the South Florida Reggae chart. Satisfaction Guaranteed by Tony Gold moves up from #9 to #6, while Di Real Rock by Macka B steps in at #22. Evil Can’t Prevail by Winchester T makes its way in at #24.
