A disgrace!
Dear Editor,
I recently had to attend a ceremony at National Heroes Park, and I must say I was extremely disappointed at the state of the whole park, both inside and outside.
For the nation to bestow the title ‘the right excellent’ on our heroes but allow the environs of the park to be used as a dumping ground for the communities in surrounding areas is a total disgrace. And to make matters worse, the ministries of finance, education, and labour directly face the garbage-littered Heroes Circle. Why haven’t any of the ministers or workers protested against this most disgraceful condition?
Please, please, please, have it rectified before August 17 when I return to pay tribute to our first National Hero Marcus Mosiah Garvey.
