Caribbean women entrepreneurs graduate from PTPA business academy
The Positioned to Propel Success Academy has celebrated the graduation of its 10th cohort of Caribbean women entrepreneurs at the recent From Vision to Velocity 2026 leadership conference in Trinidad and Tobago.
The academy, founded in 2016, was established to support women entrepreneurs seeking to strengthen their visibility, branding, leadership, marketing, and revenue-generating capacity.
This year’s cohort included women working across several sectors, including medical services, finance, public relations and branding, beauty and wellness, styling and image consulting, administration, and other specialty services.
According to the organisers, the programme combines mentorship, marketing, branding, business fundamentals, visibility strategy, leadership development, and practical implementation support.
The academy is led by Shelly-Ann Solomon, whose work focuses on helping women build sustainable businesses while developing leadership capacity and financial independence.
Organisers said more than TT$50,000 in developmental scholarships was invested through the conference and related initiatives, giving participants access to mentorship, coaching, financial guidance, branding, marketing, and entrepreneurial education.
The academy said the graduation reflects growing interest among Caribbean women in entrepreneurship as a path to ownership, income generation, and long-term business development.
