Model and influencer Nara Smith has revealed that her two-year-old daughter, Whimsy Lou, is battling cancer.

According to NBC News, Smith said she and her husband, Lucky Blue Smith, became concerned after noticing something unusual with their daughter and took her to the emergency room. After further evaluation, doctors confirmed the diagnosis and informed the family that the cancer had spread, requiring Whimsy to begin chemotherapy immediately.

In an emotional Instagram video posted Wednesday, Smith recalled the moment her pediatrician became unusually quiet during the examination, saying she immediately felt in her heart that it was cancer before the diagnosis was confirmed.

Smith did not disclose the specific type of cancer her daughter has. She said connecting with other parents through online forums, social media, and families she met at the hospital brought her comfort and helped ease the loneliness of the experience.

She also described the journey as especially challenging while recovering postpartum, caring for her other children, spending significant time at the hospital with Whimsy, and balancing work responsibilities.

Smith and her husband share four children: Whimsy Lou, Rumble Honey, Slim Easy, and Fawnie Golden.
