Police hunt gunmen involved in early morning home invasion

ST MARY, Jamaica —  The St Mary police are searching for two gunmen after an early morning home invasion in Baccaswood, Islington on Wednesday.

Police reports are that around 2:00 am, the door of a one-bedroom house of a 59-year-old painter was kicked in by a masked gunman brandishing a gun, who opened fire, hitting the painter in the hand.

The painter reportedly tried to escape when he was approached by a second masked gunman. The victim raised an alarm, and both attackers fled the scene. The police were called, and the injured man was taken to the hospital.

The St Mary Crime Investigation Bureau (CIB) are investigating.
