‘Runkus’ gunned down near Highgate clock
HIGHGATE, ST Mary – A 31 year-old man was gunned down near the clock in Highgate, St Mary on Thursday evening.
Dead is Tarrick Needham, otherwise called ‘Runkus’, of a Cromwelland address in Highgate.
Reports are that around 7pm, he was standing at a plaza in the vicinity of the clock when a man dressed in dark clothing approached and opened fire. He was hit several times in the upper body.
The gunman fled on foot into a nearby housing scheme.
Needham was rushed to Port Maria Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The St Mary Crime Investigation Bureau is investigating.
