The Peter-John Parsard-conditioned import Confidence Is High showed he’s far more than just average ability on Saturday, July 4, 2026, making a sensational local debut with a six-length romp in a Restricted Allowance V contest.
The four-year-old American-bred bay gelding by Improbable out of Yahilwa stopped the clock at 1:00.4 over 5 furlongs straight, splitting 23.3, 47.2. He handled native-bred four-year-olds and upward, non-winners of two, plus imported four-year-olds and upward maidens with ease.
With Dane Dawkins in the saddle, Confidence Is High broke well and matched strides with Money Mission and Raddesh Roman early. He sat close through the first part of the race, then took full control passing the dummy rails.
