Dovey Magnum, Cartadon team up for new single ‘Motion’
Boston Boys Records, the US-based label, is preparing to release a new collaboration featuring dancehall artistes Dovey Magnum and Cartadon.
The pair team up on Motion, a steamy track produced by the label that is scheduled for release in the coming days alongside its official music video. Industry insiders are already tipping the single as one with strong mainstream potential.
Cartadon said he is confident the song will resonate with listeners and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work with Boston Boys Records, which recently signed him to a management deal.
“First off, I must take this opportunity to tell Mike [Haley] respect for the opportunity to be a part of the Boston Boys Records family, which I take great pride in. The song is a hit and me nah ask dat. We just a put di work in to make the fans embrace it and big up Dovey same way cause she deal wid the vocals a way,” he said.
Dovey Magnum, who has been generating buzz on social media in recent weeks with her revamped image, is said to have delivered some sensual and melodic bars while Cartadon complements her with his signature gritty yet charismatic style.
Producer Mike Haley believes the chemistry between the two artistes elevated the project.
“When creative and talented people merge ideas, it’s a great look. They were having fun trying to outdo each other on the beat. This song is not just another song; it is a classic in the making. We are definitely enthusiastic about it,” he said.
In addition to Motion, Cartadon has completed several music videos that are expected to roll out over the coming weeks as part of his partnership with Boston Boys Records, beginning with the collaboration featuring Dovey Magnum.
