Marcy Chin shuts down critics, declares Sumfest her ‘home’

Recording artiste Marcy Chin delivered a bold and unapologetic set at A Taste of Sumfest that left no doubts about her place on the biggest stage in the genre.

In response to naysayers questioning her repeat appearance on the show, the outspoken deejay firmly reiterated, “Sumfest is her home.” She made it clear that her presence was non-negotiable, adding that “it nuh tek bwoy” to do music; a strong statement celebrating female independence and skill in a male-dominated industry.

Stepping onto the stage dressed to kill, Marcy Chin glowed in a red velvet long-sleeved monokini with her name emblazoned on the sleeves. She paired the striking piece with sheer fishnet stockings and thigh-high high-heeled boots, commanding attention from the moment she appeared.

During her high-energy performance, she was joined by a dancer from France and a male dancer for her track Gimme More, turning the segment into a visually captivating and provocative display. The chemistry between the artistes brought extra heat to the already sizzling night.

Chin also delivered a bold, provocative freestyle addressing her rumoured romantic relations with Downsound CEO Joe Bogdanovich. The playful yet daring lyrics had sections of the crowd erupting in cheers and laughter, showcasing her signature confidence and refusal to shy away from personal topics.
