MANCHESTER, Jamaica — Detectives in Mandeville are asking members of the public who have been robbed of their belongings to identify them at the Mandeville police station following the recovery of stolen items at three properties last Friday.

During a recent operation by the police in the troubled community of Greenvale and neighbouring Hatfield in search of suspects wanted for break-ins, police found numerous items including poker box parts, televisions, phones, a battery charger, cameras, tools, an audio mixer, and speakers among other devices.

The majority of the stolen items recovered were poker box parts as police said there is a lucrative market for the components.

In May, police made a similar appeal to the public to identify stolen items following a raid in Mile Gully where dozens of items suspected to have been stolen were recovered. The items included electronics, appliances, household items, curtains, plumbing fixtures including toilets and faucets, doors among other items.

Police said members of the public whose premises were broken into can visit the Mandeville police station and bring identifying information to verify ownership of the material.
