Five wanted men arrested and charged in St Mary crime sweep
ST MARY, Jamaica — Five men who were wanted in the St Mary Police Division for various crimes were arrested and charged during coordinated police operations over the past two weeks.
Among those held is Alex Cobourne, otherwise called ‘Lex’, who has been charged in connection with a double murder.
Also charged are: Maleek White, for robbery with aggravation; Marlon James, otherwise called ‘Alley Cat,’ for wounding with intent involving the use of a firearm; Chevawn Fullerton, for shooting with intent and Alex Kerridge, for simple larceny, unauthorised access to computer data and eight additional offences.
The arrests are being hailed as another major step in the division’s ongoing push to reduce crime across the parish.
According to Commanding Officer, Superintendent Anthony Wallace, the arrests send a clear message that criminals will be relentlessly pursued.
