Buju Banton’s Too Too Bad starts at #8 on Billboard chart
Dancehall icon Buju Banton has earned his 13th entry on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart with Too Too Bad, which debuted at #8.
The release marks the second time Banton has opened at #8 on the chart. His compilation The Best of Buju Banton debuted in the same position in June 2002.
Released on July 17 through a partnership between Banton’s Gargamel Music label and VP Records, Too Too Bad features collaborations with DJ Khaled on Wild Woman, Jaz Elise on Down to Rise, Ari Lennox on Satisfy Me, and Gramps Morgan on Power.
Banton has topped the Billboard Reggae Albums chart once in his career. Inna Heights ruled the roost for eight weeks starting December 20, 1997 and spent 79 weeks on the chart.
His previous charting album, Upside Down 2020, peaked at #2 on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart following its release in 2020.
