Comedian Majah Hype, one of the most recognisable names in Caribbean comedy, the entertaining Kathy Grant, Old Harbour’s very own, comedian Fancy Cat and multiple Festival Song winner Eric Donaldson, are among the acts set to ignite Under the Stars, Jokes N Jammins.

The event set for Friday August 7, will take place at the Totally Delicious Ice Cream Park, Grove Farm in Old Harbour.

“Under the Stars was created to give Jamaicans an independence celebration that truly has something for everyone. Bringing Majah Hype to headline this year’s event, alongside some of Jamaica’s finest comedians and legendary musical performers, allows us to create an experience that celebrates our culture, our humour and our music,” Sharon Gordon, producer of the event told Observer Online recently.

“We want every patron to leave with unforgettable memories after a night filled with laughter, great performances and authentic Jamaican entertainment,” Gordon continued.

Lenn Hammond is also billed to perform, so too singer Christopher Martin, who will close the evening alongside his live band with an energetic performance featuring many of his biggest hits.

Under the Stars — Jokes N Jammins combines world-class entertainment with a vibrant festival atmosphere, making it one of the standout events of Jamaica’s independence celebrations.

The event forms part of the venue’s exciting Family Festival Weekend, which also includes the official opening of the Totally Delicious Ice Cream Park and the launch of the company’s new locally manufactured ice cream on Thursday, August 6.
