JPS says fallen pole on Constant Spring Road not owned by the company

KINGSTON, Jamaica—The Jamaica Public Service (JPS) is advising the public that a pole brought down by a truck on Constant Spring Road does not belong to the company.

“JPS personnel visited the scene shortly after the accident and confirmed that the pole is owned by a telecommunications provider, which has since been notified of the incident. No JPS wires were displaced, and no customers have been affected by the accident,” the company said.

Motorists and other road users are being urged to proceed with caution while travelling through the affected area.
