RA Williams adds Cradle of Life to portfolio as it expands into maternal wellness sector
In celebration of World Breastfeeding Week, RA Williams Distributors Limited has officially expanded its distribution network to include Cradle of Life Limited, a comprehensive maternal wellness brand founded by International Board Certified Lactation Consultant Simeca Alexander Williamson.
The partnership signals the distributor’s entry into the maternal and postpartum care sector, bringing clinically backed lactation and recovery supplies to a broader market across Jamaica, the company stated in a press release.
The partnership was officially introduced during a recent internal launch event. Speaking at the event, Audley Reid, Chief Executive Officer of RA Williams, spoke to the value the alliance brings.
“Our goal at RA Williams is to identify gaps in the health and wellness market and fill them with trusted, high-quality solutions. Maternal wellness is an essential sector that requires specialised, reliable products. By bringing Cradle of Life into our portfolio, we are ensuring that mothers have consistent access to the standard of care they need, precisely when they need it,” he said.
Founded in 2021, Cradle of Life directly answers the call of this year’s World Breastfeeding Week theme, ‘Prioritise Breastfeeding: Create Sustainable Support Systems’.
The brand features an innovative product line, Cradled, designed to support mothers through the physical and emotional challenges of the postpartum period. The collection includes essential breastfeeding and recovery solutions, including electric and wearable breast pumps, pumping and nursing camisoles, reusable bamboo nursing pads, storage accessories, and specially designed RelaxFlow nipples to support a smoother transition between breast and bottle feeding.
Beyond breastfeeding essentials, the brand also provides postpartum recovery aids developed to support mothers’ comfort and healing, including sitz baths, peri bottles, Himalayan salt soaks and serums, as well as its signature Soothe and Calm Titty Balm.
The development of the line was born out of sheer market necessity. Alexander Williamson recognised that clinical advice alone was insufficient if the required recovery tools were inaccessible to consumers on a local level.
“Cradle of Life is not just services; it is also products. It is a combination of everything to create that supportive environment,” she explained. “That is what I realised was missing when I was doing consultations. Women would come to me, and they needed the help, and then I would suggest products, and the products were not available. It is just a dream come true to have the services and the products available for women to feel supported.”
Complementing its product offering, Cradle of Life provides personalised maternal support through in-office consultations, home visits and virtual consultations. Through guidance on infant nutrition, breastfeeding techniques, milk supply and feeding challenges, the brand works to ensure mothers have access to expert support tailored to their individual journeys.
Partnering with RA Williams provides the operational scale necessary to bridge the existing gap nationwide.
“My team and I have dedicated ourselves to building this brand, and I am excited to see it grow to a point where its impact can reach every mother that needs it,” Williamson added. “I do not want this level of care to remain a secret. Every mother deserves to be cradled and supported too. That is my dream, and I am confident that this partnership with RA Williams will help make that dream a reality.”
