KINGSTON, Jamaica – Detectives assigned to the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s Specialised Investigations Branch (SIB) have charged 19 alleged members of the ‘Genasyde Gang’, including reputed leader Tefari Green, otherwise called ‘Scoobs’ and ‘Scrappy’.

The accused, which include a female, have been charged with offences under the Criminal Justice (Suppression of Criminal Organisations) Act.

Investigations revealed that the network engaged in a string of serious and violent crimes including murders, shootings and robberies between 2021 and 2026 in the parishes of St James, St Catherine, Kingston, St Andrew and St Thomas.

Leadership of a Criminal Organisation

Thirty-nine-year-old Tefari Green, otherwise called ‘Scoobs’ and ‘Scrappy’, of Georges Lane, Kingston.

Being part of a Criminal Organisation

-Thirty-five-year-old Delano Brissett, otherwise called ‘Shrimpy’, 11 Miles Bull Bay, St Thomas.

-Thirty-year-old Damion Taylor, otherwise called ‘Demon’, of Park Lane, Kingston.

-Twenty-one-year-old Tywaine Campbell, otherwise ‘Likkle Bredda’, of Hanover Street, Kingston.

-Thirty-three-year-old Andrew Atkins, otherwise called ‘Serial’, of Georges Lane, Kingston.

– Twenty-eight-year-old Terrence Grant, otherwise called ‘Grabba’, of Snowden Avenue, Kingston.

-Thirty-three-year-old Mashel Ward, otherwise called ‘Feeky’, of Sunrise Crescent, Kingston.

-Thirty-six-year-old Andre Wright, otherwise called ‘son son’ of Falcon Road, Phase Two, Seaview Gardens, Kingston.

– Twenty-year-old Reko Hylton, otherwise called ‘Moppa’, of Sunrise Crescent, St. Andrew.

-Thirty-eight-year-old Kemar Clarke, otherwise called ‘Boomi’, of Sunrise Crescent, Kingston.

– Ian Johnson, otherwise called ‘Yankee’, of Pretoria Road, Kingston 13.

-Forty-two-year-old Cranston Hutchinson of Law Street, Kingston.

-Twenty-eight-year-old Nicquan Thomas of 11 Miles Bull Bay, St Thomas.

-Twenty-seven-year-old Kymani Griffiths, otherwise called ‘Rilly’, of 11 Miles Bull Bay, St Thomas.

– Twenty-year-old Dujuan Dixon, otherwise called ‘Bunno’, of Monk Street, Spanish Town St Catherine.

– Twenty-nine-year-old Jermaine Senior of Park Lane, Kingston.

-Twenty-five-year-old Daniel Annon of 12 Park Lane, Red Hills Road, Kingston.

– Thirty-four-year-old Jaylee Henry of Banks, Sunrise Crescent and Red Hills Road, Kingston

Providing a benefit to a Criminal Organisation

– Nicholas Henry, otherwise called ‘Chemist’, of Mammie Road, St Andrew.

The National Strategic Anti-Gang Division (NSAD), of the SIB, conducted a series of targeted operations and the accused were apprehended, positively identified during identification parades and subsequently charged.

Emphasising the critical role of collaboration, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Kevin Johnson, Divisional Commander of NSAD, said the JCF will continue to go after criminal networks and implore the public to partner with the police.

“Organised criminal groups rely on leadership, membership and support networks to carry out their activities. The NSAD is relentlessly going after these networks and is committed to bringing those involved before the court,” said DSP Johnson. “Our most vital partners in this fight are law-abiding citizens. We urge the public to report gang activities as we work to ensure the safety of our communities,” he added.
