A number of international and local acts are set to hit the stage and deliver their respective hit songs at the Heroes’ Weekend staging of Republic Weekend at Plantation Cove in St Ann.

While remaining tight-lipped about revealing names, Mikhail De Gale, director of Fete Republic, organisers of Republic Weekend, told Observer Online exclusively on Saturday at the Republic Beach Club event at Plantation Cove, that patrons are in for a treat.

“We have pretty much the best getaway experience that you can have during the Heroes’ Weekend period. It’s five events happening from October 16-19 and it’s five unique experiences. We will be having surprise performances both overseas and local acts, and that’s all I can say for sure,” De Gale disclosed.

The events scheduled to take place during Republic Weekend are Republic Beach Club, Republic Bush, Night Carnival, and two events new to the weekend, Fanatic Festival and Rosie and Rosies.

Said De Gale, “It’s always been a goal of ours to have a weekend where we can package it into a destination experience.  And we guarantee a great experience at Republic Weekend.”
