E-Dee releases fourth album ‘Young Legend’ through Clarendon Records

In early 2025, E-Dee launched Clarendon Records, an independent company tasked to produce and market his music. He has released several songs and an EP on that label, but his most ambitious project dropped on July 24.

Young Legend, his fourth album, came out four years after Elevate, his previous set. It contains several previously-released songs including She’s Loyal and Water Run.

While he co-produced most of Young Legend’s songs with longtime collaborator Qmillion and Jahsee, E-Dee says building a catalogue for his company is the most important aspect of his recent work.

“I’m very satisfied and excited about the direction of Clarendon Records. We’re staying true to independent artistry with full creative control and drops like Pretty Free show exactly what we stand for — real music with meaningful messages and party vibes,” he stated. “The label is growing steadily; better collabs, consistent releases and building a catalogue that connects with people.”

Unlike Elevate, which fused dancehall with hip hop and pop, Young Legend is dominated by dancehall songs.

Another song released prior to July 24 is Pretty Free, E-Dee’s collaboration with American singer Jazmin Akea. On Beautiful Woman, he shares the mic with Ginjah.

E-Dee has been a recording artiste for 20 years. Commercially, his biggest song has been Bounce Along, which he did with Ms Triniti in 2006.

It peaked at number 16 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Single Sales chart.

He is also an actor, who has appeared in several independent movies such as Out The Gate and Temperature Rising.
