Isratech assists hurricane-affected farmers at Denbigh 2026
KINGSTON, Jamaica — In an effort to help hurricane-affected farming families at the Denbigh Agricultural, Industrial and Food Show 2026, Isratech invited a group of farmers and agro-processors who were rebuilding their businesses to participate in the Farmers Market completely free of charge.
While thousands of patrons visited the Isratech Pavilion to explore innovative solutions for home gardening, water, energy and agriculture, the farmers’ market section quietly became the heart of the entire experience, organisers said.
In a statement on Tuesday, organisers indicated that the section transformed the pavilion into more than just an exhibition space; it became a platform for recovery, opportunity and resilience.
Recognising the devastating impact recent disasters have had on many farming families, the company absorbed all exhibition fees, transportation costs, lunch and refreshments for the full three-day event, allowing participants to focus entirely on showcasing and selling their products.
Isratech described the booth as representing a fresh start for the vendors.
One of those vendors was Shaniele Milton, a single mother who attended the event with her children while operating her booth.
Her presence became a powerful reminder of the resilience and determination of Jamaica’s farming community and the importance of creating opportunities that are inclusive and accessible for every entrepreneur, regardless of circumstance.
Throughout the three-day event, farmers connected with hundreds of new customers, introduced their products to new audiences and strengthened valuable business relationships that will extend well beyond Denbigh.
Among the participating entrepreneurs was Deon Pusey, owner of Taste the Difference Sauces, who expressed heartfelt appreciation for the initiative.
“I just want to take the time out to say thanks to Isratech for the experience. I’ve gotten the opportunity to meet new customers and to promote my brand. I admire the team they are well organised.”
The farmers market formed one of three distinct experiences inside the Isratech Pavilion, each designed to provide practical value to visitors.
The home & garden zone which showcased innovative solutions that empower homeowners and families to grow food, conserve water and embrace more sustainable living.
The free consultation hub which provided visitors with direct access to Isratech’s technical specialists, who offered expert advice on agronomy, irrigation systems, water management, energy solutions, farming technologies and sustainable agricultural practices and the farmers market .
According to Isratech, the initiative reflects the company’s belief that supporting agriculture goes beyond supplying products; it also means investing in people.
“Resilience is built when communities stand together,” Chief Executive Officer Benjamin Hodara noted. “Our goal was not simply to create another exhibition space but to remove barriers that would have prevented hard-working farmers from participating. When farmers succeed, Jamaica becomes stronger.”
The initiative forms part of the company’s broader commitment to strengthening food security, promoting sustainable agriculture and empowering communities through practical partnerships and long-term support.
Noting that as visitors departed the pavilion carrying fresh produce, locally made products and new ideas for sustainable living, many also left inspired by the stories behind the businesses they had supported-stories of perseverance, recovery and hope, which Isratech described as the greatest success of Denbigh 2026.
