UPDATE: Body of missing St Elizabeth woman recovered
ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica — Divers from the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) Coast Guard have retrieved the partially nude body of 50-year-old Nicole Brown who was reported missing since Sunday in Barton Wharf district, Lacovia.
Her 41-year-old partner was mobbed Monday night and later rescued by the police as residents accused him of killing and dumping her body in the Black River which flows through Lacovia.
Preliminary reports are that shortly before midnight residents confronted the man and questioned him about Brown’s whereabouts. Police said the residents accused him of killing Brown and dumping her body in the river.

Residents reportedly became suspicious after Brown was last seen alive by relatives on Sunday night and was not seen throughout Monday.
During checks at her home, they reportedly discovered that some of the man’s belongings were also missing.
Residents then went in search of the man and reportedly accosted him while he was attempting to flee the area late Monday.
A search was launched to locate her body.
