Eggs &…

Eggs &…

For Chef Damion Stewart and Kwasi Henry, the Jamaican owners behind Eggs &…, the idea for the eatery began with travel and a shared appreciation for how something as familiar as breakfast could be reimagined.

Travelling across the world, they shared with Thursday Food, exposed them to breakfast spots that managed to strike an interesting balance: quick and uncomplicated, yet still elevated in taste. A breakfast sandwich “could be convenient without being ordinary, pairing familiar ingredients with unexpected flavours, interesting fixings and thoughtful sides”.

It was an experience they felt was missing back home. That inspiration eventually became Eggs &, a Jamaican-owned concept built around a simple idea: start with eggs, then see where the “&” takes you.

The name is intentionally open-ended. Eggs may be at the heart of the menu, but the ampersand represents everything that can come alongside them different proteins, flavours, textures and combinations that take the breakfast sandwich beyond the expected.

“It also means breakfast doesn’t have to look or taste the same every time,” explained Chef Stewart. It’s no idle boast!

The result is a menu built around local eggs, ranging from $850 to $2,250, that moves easily between the familiar and the unexpected, giving diners a different take on the breakfast sandwich while keeping the experience casual, convenient and accessible throughout the day.

Eggs &… is located on the ground floor of The Rogers Commercial Centre, 56-58 Lady Musgrave Road, Kingston 6, and opens to the public on Monday, August 24, serving its full breakfast menu daily from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, for dine-in and takeout.

Telephone number: 876 668-4220
