Full Circle
Tajae Ramdon and Danielle Lewin’s connection always felt destined. Even when life took them on separate paths, faith and fate had other plans.
How They Met
Tajae and Danielle first met on November 24, 2018, at a church crusade. For Tajae, a single glance was all it took to fall head over heels, even if Danielle didn’t catch the love bug quite as quickly.
“There was something quiet yet compelling about her that drew me in immediately,” Tajae told Tuesday Style Vows (TSV). “She wasn’t particularly interested in me at first, even if she thought I was handsome.”
They exchanged numbers, but soon lost contact. Fate had other plans, however, and Tajae stepped back into Danielle’s life in 2019 during a crusade at her church.
“We spent time together each night, which built on the mutual attraction that we had felt,” Tajae said.
Life soon got in the way again, with pressures of school and daily routine pulling them apart — a division compounded when the COVID-19 pandemic brought the world to a standstill in 2020. However, it allowed Tajae to reconnect with Danielle once more. Endless phone conversations and visits as restrictions eased brought their initial feelings rushing back. In December 2020, they formalised their relationship and haven’t looked back since.
The Proposal
Their journey took a decisive turn on May 21, 2025, in Massachusetts — where they were both engaged in a work-study programme — when Tajae proposed to Danielle.
“I was able to talk her into getting her nails done as we would be going out for dinner and wanted to take some nice pictures. Before going to dinner, we had made plans to take a walk through the public garden that was there,” Tajae recalled. “We had set up a tripod with a remote control for the camera, and in the midst of taking pictures, I suggested one with her back turned to get an off-angle picture. While her back was turned, I got down on my knee, ring box in hand… I opened it, and as she turned around, I blurted out my prepared speech and asked her to marry me. She said yes!”
The Wedding
Surrounded by loved ones, the couple tied the knot on May 3, 2026, at Morning Glory Villas in St Ann. Decorated with thoughtful touches by loved ones, the venue brought an extra layer of warmth and intimacy to the celebration.
Resplendent in an Avery Austin Raya satin fit-and-flare gown complete with dramatic train, Danielle made her way up the aisle to Daniel Jang’s violin cover of Gratitude by Brandon Lake. The ceremony carried a poignant touch with a framed photograph of Danielle’s late mother, Sharon Lewin, who passed away in November 2025, placed on a seat in loving memory. Officiated by Pastor Dr Roy Dennis, Danielle and Tajae were joined in holy matrimony.
The Reception
The festivities continued at the reception, where toasts and warm wishes from loved ones followed dinner. Formalities continued with the cutting of the wedding cake, after which Tajae and Danielle shared their first dance as husband and wife to Michael Leach’s The Way I Love You.
