Two men shot dead in Manchester incidents
MANCHESTER, Jamaica — Detectives in Manchester are now processing two murder scenes in Heartease and Asia where two men were shot overnight.
Residents have identified the victims as Donald Anderson, a resident of Asia and the other only by his alias “Tippy”, a resident of Heartease.
Preliminary reports are that residents in Asia, south Manchester, heard loud explosions late Sunday night. Subsequently, checks were made Monday morning and Anderson was found dead at his home with what appeared to be gunshot wounds.
Police said the other victim was shot dead in Heartease near Mandeville in the wee hours on Monday.
Statistics from the police show that up to Saturday, August 29, Manchester recorded 23 murders compared to 19 murders for the corresponding last year.
