MALTA has launched The Good You Give Scholarship, a $7.5-million education initiative that will provide sustained financial support to Jamaica’s top-performing Primary Exit Profile (PEP) students throughout their five-year secondary school journey.

Under the initiative, Malta will award a scholarship to one top-performing PEP student each year for five years. Each recipient will receive $300,000 annually for five years, representing a potential scholarship value of $1.5 million per student, subject to agreed performance and development standards.

Over the five-year intake period, five students will benefit from the scholarship.

The inaugural recipient of The Good You Give Scholarship is Jasonnia Beadle of Park Mountain Primary and Infant School, who emerged as Jamaica’s top-performing primary school PEP student for 2026. Jasonnia will begin her secondary education at Hampton School in September.

As the first recipient, Jasonnia will receive $300,000 annually throughout her five years of secondary school, beginning in the 2026/2027 academic year.

For the first year, the scholarship will be disbursed in two equal payments of $150,000, with the first instalment provided for the September 2026 school term and the second scheduled for the January 2027 term.

The scholarship is designed to help meet essential expenses associated with secondary education, including nutrition, transportation, and educational resources, while encouraging continued academic achievement and personal development.

For Jasonnia’s mother, Natesha Mullings, the scholarship represents meaningful support as her daughter begins this next chapter.

“I am truly grateful to Malta for this kind gesture and for choosing to support Jasonnia as she begins this new chapter in her education. We are honoured that she is the first recipient of the scholarship, and this assistance means so much to our family. I pray that God continues to bless Malta and everyone who played a part in making this opportunity possible,” said Mullings.

Malta Brand Manager Arnaldo Martin said The Good You Give Scholarship reflects the brand’s commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for young Jamaicans through education.

“Excellence deserves to be recognised, but we also believe it should be supported. Jasonnia has already demonstrated what is possible through hard work, discipline, and determination, and we want to help ensure that she has the support to keep going.

We are making a five-year commitment to walk alongside each recipient throughout secondary school and invest in the potential they have already shown. We are incredibly proud to begin with Jasonnia, and over the next five years, to give five exceptional young Jamaicans the opportunity to keep reaching higher,” said Martin.

Each scholarship will be renewable annually throughout the recipient’s five years of secondary education, subject to agreed performance and development standards, including academic performance, consistent school attendance, participation in extracurricular activities, and other areas of personal development.

As Jasonnia begins her journey at Hampton School, Malta hopes the scholarship will provide meaningful support as she continues to excel and inspire other young Jamaicans to pursue their own ambitions.
