48-hour curfew imposed in sections of Manchester
KINGSTON, Jamaica – A 48-hour curfew has been imposed in sections of the Manchester policing division.
The curfew began at 6:00 pm on Friday, September 4, and will remain in effect until 6:00 pm on Sunday, September 6.
The boundaries of the curfew are as follows:
North – From a roadway in the vicinity of the primary school at Russell Place to a vegetated area on the eastern boundary.
East – From the vegetated area at the northern boundary, along an imaginary line in the vicinity of Melrose Cemetery, bordered by the Winston Jones Highway.
South – From the vegetated area at the eastern boundary to a section of roadway at the junction of Comfort and Melrose district, at the western boundary.
West – From the roadway at the western boundary to the roadway at Russell Place in the vicinity of the primary school, returning to the point at the northern boundary.
During the hours of the curfew, individuals within the boundaries are required to remain indoors unless otherwise authorised by the ground commander.
