Disciplinary actions taken by the JRC Stewards

The Stewards announce the following disciplinary actions arising from inquiries held at the offices of the Jamaica Racing Commission, Unit 15-17 Big Buy Plaza, Portmore, St Catherine, on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.

 

Jockey TEVIN FOSTER who rode FIDELITY in the seventh (7th) race on Saturday, August 15, 2026 had his explanation accepted for the excessive use of his whip.

 

Jockey EMELIO MCLEAN who rode BLINDING LIGHT in the fifth (5th) race on Saturday, August 15, 2026 had his explanation accepted for the excessive use of his whip.

 

Jockey ROMANE GORDON who rode GALWAY BAY in the fifth (5th) race on Saturday, August 15, 2026 was fined Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) for the excessive use of his whip.

 

Jockey SHAHEEM GORDON who rode RICORICORICO in the tenth (10th) race on Saturday, August 15, 2026 was fined Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) for the excessive use of his whip.

 

Jockey CALVIN BAILEY who rode SOLO BLACK in the fourth (4th) race on Saturday, August 15, 2026 was fined Four Thousand Dollars ($4,000.00) for the excessive use of his whip.
