Veteran owner-trainer Junior Panton dies at 67
THE horse-racing fraternity is mourning the passing of veteran owner and trainer Junior Panton, who died on Wednesday morning, September 2, 2026. He was 67 years old.
Panton dedicated decades to the sport at Caymanas Park, earning respect as both an owner and conditioner known for his hands-on approach and love for the horses.
His final victory as a trainer came on May 23, 2025, when
Golden Emperor produced a strong performance to capture the third race on the day.The racing community mourns the loss of a man who gave his life to the sport.
