Grammy Award-winning entertainer Shaggy is raising the stakes with the official remix of Lottery, enlisting R&B star Jeremih, rapper Rick Ross, and Jamaican dancehall artiste Skillibeng for a cross-genre collaboration.

Set for release on September 18 through Ranch Entertainment and VP Records, the remix brings together four-distinctive voices spanning reggae, dancehall, hip hop, and R&B.

The original Lottery, featuring Jeremih, serves as the title track of Shaggy’s 13-track studio album, released on May 15, 2026. The project is rooted in the philosophy of betting on yourself, trusting your instincts, and embracing creative risks.

The remix builds on that concept while retaining the chemistry between Shaggy and Jeremih.

Rick Ross adds his commanding hip hop presence, while Skillibeng brings the raw energy of contemporary Jamaican dancehall. Shaggy remains at the centre, connecting the different sounds through his unmistakable voice and Caribbean identity.

“Lottery has always been about taking a chance and believing in your own hand. Jeremih brought a smooth energy to the original, and bringing Rick Ross and Skillibeng onto the remix takes it to another level. Everybody comes from a different lane, but the chemistry works,” Shaggy said.

The collaboration is also in keeping with Shaggy’s decades-long approach to making music without rigid genre boundaries. Throughout his career, the Jamaican entertainer has consistently fused reggae and dancehall with pop, R&B, hip hop, and electronic music, helping to introduce Jamaican sounds to wider international audiences.

Beyond his hugely successful work with Sting, Shaggy has amassed a diverse catalogue of international collaborations. He has worked with R&B and pop acts, including Akon, Robin Thicke, and Jason Derulo, while venturing into electronic music through collaborations with French DJ Bob Sinclar and British group Clean Bandit.

His collaborative reach has also extended across European and Latin markets, with artistes including Mohombi, Faydee, Costi, and Nicky Jam among those with whom he has joined forces over the years. The partnerships have reinforced Shaggy’s reputation as one of Jamaican music’s most enduring crossover acts.

With Rick Ross and Skillibeng now joining Shaggy and Jeremih on Lottery, the remix adds another high-profile collaboration to that catalogue while connecting different generations and corners of contemporary music.

The Lottery remix featuring Jeremih, Rick Ross, and Skillibeng will be available across major digital streaming platforms on September 18.
