Vauxhall High School’s dramatic Walker Cup round-of-16 victory over Charlie Smith High School was followed by a reported post-match disturbance, with videos circulating online appearing to show alleged stone-throwing, fighting and damage to property after the game.

Vauxhall High secured their place in the next round of the competition after overcoming the hosts in a tense penalty shootout, but the celebrations were overshadowed by events that unfolded after the final whistle.

Footage shared online appears to show chaotic scenes at the venue, with reports that students and teachers from Vauxhall High were injured during the incident. There are also reports that the Vauxhall team was unable to leave the venue for more than an hour due to difficulties accessing an exit.

In one video, a man can be heard saying that people at the venue were unable to leave because stones were being thrown.

“They are throwing stones and we cannot leave,” the man said before turning the camera towards another man behind a gate, who he said had refused to open it.

Another video appears to show two men engaged in a physical confrontation on the field, while separate footage shows a coaster bus with shattered windows as students disembarked.

Inter-secondary Schools Sports Association (ISSA) President Keith Wellington said he is aware of the incident but was unable to comment further at this time.
