Gaynstead, Papine among big winners in ISSA netball

KINGSTON, Jamaica—Gaynstead High and Papine High were among the standout winners as action in the ISSA netball competition continued with a full slate of matches on Friday.

Gaynstead produced one of the most commanding performances of the day, brushing aside Ardenne High 61-4 in the Under-19 category. They also completed a double over Ardenne, winning the Under-16 encounter 33-6.

Papine High also enjoyed a productive day against Immaculate Conception, securing victories in both age groups. They won the Under-16 match 32-6 before returning to the court to take the Under-19 contest 30-25.

Camperdown High also recorded a double victory over St Jago High. Camperdown won the Under-16 match 21-15 and followed that with a convincing 42-19 triumph in the Under-19 category.

Norman Manley High had a similar successful outing against Mona High, winning 33-6 in the Under-16 contest and 32-6 in the Under-19 game.

In other Under-16 results, St James High defeated Knockalva Technical 34-3, while Mount Alvernia High dominated Muschett High 30-8.

Meadowbrook High defeated Kingston Technical 16-7, while St Andrew High had an emphatic 24-2 victory over Waterford High.

Wolmer’s Girls edged Queen’s School 33-29, and Sydney Pagon STEM Academy secured a narrow 9-8 win over Lacovia High.

Hampton High and St Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS) battled to an 18-18 draw.
