High-powered firearm seized at Golden Age Home
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A high-powered weapon and more than 20 rounds of ammunition were seized at the Denham Town Golden Age Home in Kingston on Tuesday.
No arrest was made in relation to the find, the police said.
According to reports, a police team conducted an intelligence-led operation at the Denham Town Golden Age Home. The team reportedly went to the location in search of prohibited weapons.
During a search, the police said, the firearm and ammunition were found under a house at the side of the premises.
The seized firearm, a compact AR-15 rifle, was reportedly found along with a magazine and twenty-one 5.56 cartridges.
The police said they will be conducting further investigations into the seizure.
