TotalEnergies shows appreciation to customers
Customers at TotalEnergies Jamaica’s Portmore Pines location got much more than their usual service-station fare last Thursday, taken by pleasant surprise as employees from the TotalEnergies head office blanketed the forecourt and convenience store, handing out gift cards redeemable for fuel, meals at its Mother’s Xpress deli, goodies bags as well as hot and cold beverages.
The local affiliate of the global energy giant went all out in showing appreciation to retail
customers during its observance of International Customer Service Week, October 5-9. Customers at other service stations located in St Catherine, as well as the Corporate Area of Kingston and St Andrew, were in for similar treats on Thursday.
Sherman Leslie, among the recipients for a $2,000 fuel gift card, disclosed that his employer, World Brands, was a commercial client of TotalEnergies Jamaica.
“I will always support TotalEnergies. This makes it even better,” Leslie said while accepting his gift card from Annakae Collins, human resource assistant, who basked in the one-on-one experience with customers.
Valisa Howell, territory manager, TotalEnergies, described Portmore Pines as “an all-in-one” at which customers have become almost family.
“Portmore Pines is a one-stop destination for motorists needing food, fuel, EV-charging, lubricants and ATM service. Customers stop to refuel and grab a meal before heading out to work in the mornings or back home. Everything you can think of is here,” Howell pointed out between assisting TotalEnergies’ business development manager, FaithGowdie Edwards, in coordinating the welcome responses of motorists to the customer-appreciation initiative.
Gowdie Edwards said Portmore Pines was among TotalEnergies “flagship sites”.
“Portmore Pines serves our customers well through impressive volume backed by a commitment to exceptional service from the staff. We are on-site during International Customer Service Week to show our gratitude,” said Gowdie Edwards.
Last Wednesday, TotalEnergies’ Jamaica’s managing director, Badara Mbacke, led a team calling on the petroleum-marketing company’s bulk-products customers across the Corporate Area.
Among TotalEnergies’ stops along the industrial belt of Spanish Town Road, St Andrew, were long-established corporate customers such as Louis Industrial Garage, Toyota Jamaica and Lube & Chemical Supplies, J Wray&Nephew and ATL Automotive, as well as several TotalEnergies Fleet Card customers such as the National Housing Trust (NHT), Honey Bun, Tile City and other key corporate partners across the island.
“Our appreciation has always extended beyond International Customer Service Week,” Gowdie Edwards pointed out.
“Through our Retail Days and other customer-engagement activities, we consistently create opportunities to connect with our customers to show how much they mean to our business,” she added.
