An 18-year-old was killed after she fell from a swinging amusement park ride in Los Cabos, Mexico, on Tuesday.

The teen, identified as Gabriela Rodríguez Tezoco, was mid ride on an attraction dubbed “The Pendulum” during the Cabo San Lucas Traditional Festival when she fell, according to media reports.

Video, reportedly of the moment she fell, has been shared on social media, showing an individual thrown from a ride into mid-air after a red safety harness lifts.

According to People, which cited local news outlet Expreso, emergency responders attended to the young woman and she was rushed to hospital, where she died.

Mayor Christian Agúndez Gómez said the ride has been suspended pending an investigation.

The General Prosecutor’s Office of Baja California Sur is also investigating the teen’s death.
