All-island rain forces ISSA to postpone games

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association (ISSA) has postponed all sporting activity planned for Tuesday due to islandwide showers expected to cause flooding in some low-lying areas.

Eight games in the daCosta Cup Round of 16 and six in the Manning Cup Round of 16 were set to be played on Tuesday, as well as boys’ basketball and girls’ netball, but a release from ISSA said that, due to the weather, all games would be rescheduled for Wednesday.

“Due to the inclement weather, all ISSA sporting events for today, Tuesday, November 3, will be postponed,” the ISSA release said, adding that they would make further updates later in the day.
