Intence drops EKE DAY EP today

Dancehall artiste Intence is preparing to release his five-track EP, EKE DAY, scheduled for Friday, November 6, through VP Records.

The project will feature a mixture of familiar fan-favourites and additional material, as the entertainer continues to expand his catalogue and strengthen his presence in Jamaica’s competitive dancehall landscape.

The EP comprises Let It Off, Dry Cry, Baba Bu, Dem Doh Badda We, and Global, with an official music video for Let It Off also set to premiere on release day. The track was produced by Mxssivh and Universvl Zincfence (Tyrese McNaughton).

Known for his distinctive vocal delivery, hard-hitting lyrics, and energetic performances, Intence has established himself among the prominent voices of dancehall’s younger generation.

With EKE DAY, the artiste is looking to build on that momentum while offering listeners another glimpse into his musical evolution.

“Every project I put out represents where I am musically and how much I’ve grown as an artiste. With EKE DAY, I am just giving the fans more of the energy and sound they know me for, while showing different sides of my creativity,” Intence said.

“The support has been real from day one, and this project is another way of giving the people something new to enjoy. Big respect to everyone who continues to support the journey,” he added.

Over the years, Intence has cultivated a loyal following through a steady stream of releases that reflect his unapologetic approach to dancehall. His music has resonated with audiences locally and overseas, helping him carve out his own space within the genre.

The upcoming project maintains the sound and lyrical style that have become synonymous with the entertainer, while reflecting his continued efforts to develop creatively.

Its release through VP Records also places the EP within the label’s extensive catalogue of reggae and dancehall recordings, further supporting the international distribution of contemporary Jamaican music.
