Sandals Negril fêtes Hanover Health Centre’s HR team
IN recognition of Human Resources (HR) Day, Sandals Negril extended a gesture of appreciation to eight members of the Hanover Health Centre’s HR team, treating them to a day of relaxation and enjoyment at the resort recently.
The experience was made possible through complimentary passes offered by General Manager Melissa Clarke.
For Faylene Russell, head of the health centre’s team, the gesture represented more than a day away from the demands of work. It was an acknowledgement of the contributions of human resources professionals, whose efforts help ensure that health-care teams are supported and that essential services continue to operate efficiently.
“Human resources professionals work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure that our facility runs smoothly, that our doctors and nurses are supported, and that the needs of our patients can be met. To have our team recognised in such a thoughtful way by Sandals Negril is truly heartwarming. The passes were a very welcome courtesy from Ms Clarke, and we are sincerely grateful for the opportunity,” said Russell.
The team from the health centre embraced the opportunity to unwind, exploring the resort’s amenities and enjoying the all-inclusive experience. Much of the day was spent by the beach, where the team members relaxed and enjoyed each other’s company away from their usual responsibilities. The experience culminated in dinner at the Bayside Restaurant, bringing a memorable day of appreciation to a close.
For Clarke, the gesture was a reflection of the importance of recognising individuals who play a significant role in supporting others.
“Every successful organisation depends on people who are committed to ensuring that things run as they should. While their contributions may not always be visible, their impact is significant. This day was about celebrating the people who dedicate themselves to supporting others, often without expecting recognition in return,” said Clarke.
She pointed out that the visit underscored the importance of acknowledging the professionals who work behind the scenes to keep essential services functioning.
For the Hanover Health Centre’s HR team, the day offered a welcome opportunity to feel valued, appreciated, and celebrated beyond the workplace.
