Got a new man? Don’t do this
SO you have been single for what you deemed eternity, and have finally netted the man of your dreams. Though excitement is brimming, it is important that you guard what you say and do, and not expect the same things from your new beau as you did with your ex. Some of the things you should never do or say in a new relationship are:
1. Point fingers
Placing the blame on your partner is not healthy. “You always do this, you always do that” will make your partner feel like he is walking on eggshells. If you want him to truly understand you, try telling him what your standards are, rather than attacking him when he’s not meeting your requirements.
2. Make hurtful comparisons
Not everyone is fortunate enough to be blessed in abundance. Do not compare your present to your past, especially when it comes on to sexual gratification. Leave your exes out, they are simply EXamples of what not to do. Remember that hurt is remembered for a long time.
3. Demand communication
If you want to talk, simply ask to talk, not demand a conversation like you’re the head of the military.
4. Make threats
Do not threaten you partner in any way, shape or form. It will lead to fear and insecurity and eventually a break up.
5. Say ‘I love you’
Chill out for a second and remember that this is a new relationship; you’re still getting to know each other. Love doesn’t happen overnight.
6. Ask, ‘Are you serious about me?
‘ In due time the signs will tell, asking that question is pointless. His actions will eventually reveal the truth.
7. Bad mouth your ex
Avoid talking about your horrible past relationships as it can look bad on your part as well. Everybody can’t always be in the wrong; stop and ask yourself what you may have been doing wrong.
