LIME sponsors mass wedding
TELECOMMUNICATIONS company LIME will make Valentine’s Day 2015 an extra special occasion for 14 lucky couples. The company has signed on for a second year and is now title sponsor of the ’14-14-14′ wedding extravaganza event dubbed ‘The Search’.
Organised by premier event and wedding co-ordination company, MSW Events Ltd, the mass wedding scheduled for February 14 (Valentine’s Day) will take place on the lawns of Hope Gardens where the lucky couples will simultaneously exchange vows.
After a successful staging of Jamaica’s first mass wedding last year, MSW’s Monique Walcott and Cortia Bingham began the search last December for another 14 couples seeking to tie the knot in 2015. Having received scores of applications, MSW selected 13 couples.
The telecoms provider also issued a request for couples to submit their love stories via its Facebook page to have an opportunity for their wedding dreams to be realised free of cost. After a 24-hour voting session, 25-year-old Dadrian Hosang and his fiancee Tavian Brooks, 22, were selected as the 14th couple by LIME’s fans online.
“Having participated in last year’s event, we were truly blown away at the celebration of love which unfolded. We were also touched by the heartfelt journeys of the couples who tied the knot last year and we are delighted to get the opportunity once again to touch the lives of yet another 14 by helping them to realise their wedding dreams,” said Kim Lee, LIME head of channel marketing, sponsorships & promotions.
Each couple will receive a bridal gown and tuxedo, wedding cake, wedding photography and videography package, flowers, hair and make-up for the bride, and both will participate in various pre-wedding activities. All couples will participate in a shared wedding ceremony and reception catered by top suppliers in the industry.
In 2014, LIME provided a live stream of the event which allowed well-wishers, friends and families of the couples to share in the special moment via the web. In addition to the broadcast this year, LIME will also be offering a honeymoon package to one of the lucky couples based on a series of challenges that will be issued to them over the next two weeks.
