WROC gets support

Arnold J Nicholson, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, presents a cheque for US$1,747.95, on behalf of the Consulate General of Jamaica in Miami, to Dorothy Whyte, Executive Director of the Women’s Resource and Outreach Centre (WROC), on October 13 at the Ministry’s head office in New Kingston.

The cheque, which represents part of the proceeds from an offering collected during the consulate general’s ecumenical service in August, is in aid of WROC’s work.

WROC was established as a non-profit organisation on International Women’s Day, March 8, 1983, with the purpose of providing social support for women and their families.
