Lee’s celebrates in style
Local department store chain Lee’s Fifth Avenue celebrated 50 years of retail therapy in sophisticated style on Sunday, December 6. Taking inspiration from Sweden-based clothes manufacturer and store chain H&M, the store transformed its Tropical Plaza location into a virtually unrecognisable fashion hub, with models from Saint International ripping the makeshift runway in trendy, preppy daytime looks, as well as sultry, shimmery nighttime pieces — all currently available on the racks — while audience members salivated at the spanking-new offerings.
“It’s a milestone event, so we really wanted to do something special, not just to celebrate our anniversary, but to show our customers some appreciation as well. We’re showing our Christmas collection; it’s brand-new, and we’re very excited about it,” store manager Beverley Moses gushed.
With cocktails on hand, a performance by local reggae-rock band Skygrass, and eclectic selections from DJ Sparks, patrons were well-entertained while seizing the opportunity to purchase items at discount prices.
