No love, marriage, or baby carriage
It is strongly believed by many people that all women desire commitment and marriage. But in fact, there are some women who have no desire for any part of the above.RS: Ann:CR:
I don’t think I want to go through what my parents did. They got married before I was born and stayed together because they wanted to paint the picture that they were “happy”. But I could hear them arguing every night. Who in their right mind would want that?
I watched my sister give of herself and her husband abused her. She had to run away to set herself free. I don’t think I want to go through that. And at first they were perfect!
I don’t want a relationship, really. I just want sex and someone to talk to when I am lonely. I provide for myself, so all I really need a man for is pleasure. Everything else a man comes with is stress, so I’d rather stay single.
Many times these women have been traumatised or abused and as a result they decide to protect themselves. There are women who are actually comfortable and quite happy being without a man and that is okay.
But what is not healthy is a woman, who after being hurt by several men, decides to write them all off as “dogs” and proceed to live in engraved bitterness. If that is reason behind deciding to stay single or uncommitted, then intervention may be needed.
