AW Fashion: Hear Ye, See Ye, The Met Gala’s Finest
The fashion stakes were raised, as they are wont to do, for the annual celeb-baiting Met Gala in New York City, last Monday evening at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Chaired by American Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour, the fund-raising gala for the museum is the red carpet intersection of designers, actors, musicians, models, industry influencers and business titans.
The gala, which acts as the precursor to the annual Costume Institute exhibition, this year pays tribute to 74-year-old Comme des Garçons designer, Japanese Rei Kawakubo, with an exhibition entitled Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between.All Woman Fashion label-checks the Met’s starry guest list that found favour with us.
